Spined Loach

This breed of fish is usually found in freshwater. They have amazing breathing techniques thus they can survive even without an air pump in the tank. They can even sense or predict the weather in barometric pressure. During calm weather conditions, they usually settle at the bottom. They breathe through their skin and they are harmless.

Betta Fish

One of the fishes that are popular for its capacity to survive even without an air pump in the tank is the Betta Fish. They intake oxygen through the bubbles from the atmospheric air.
