DON’T REHEAT THESE FOODS – If you are using a microwave to reheat what you are going to eat, then, these foods should not be included and here are the reasons why.

Beets – This food is nitrate-rich and when heated, this can be converted to nitrosamines which can be carcinogenic.

Breast milk – A microwave heats plates of food unevenly. With this, it can also warm a bottle of breast milk unevenly and it creates “hot spots” that can severely burn a baby’s mouth and throat.

Chicken – Bacteria-prone reheated foods will have higher risk of causing sickness when these bacterial cells survive such as in chicken which can be at risk of salmonella contamination. Reheating this in a microwave is not a good idea.
