Tell me who among the kids would love to go to a dentist? Surely no one. At home, children are taught to brush their teeth twice a day before going to school and bedtime. The prescribe brushing of teeth according to dentist is twice a day, one in morning and one in evening. It is not good to brush your teeth every after meal, it might lead to other causes. Oral hygiene is very important in grooming oneself. You don’t wanna go to office or school having a bad breath. Without brushing teeth could be uncomfortable to anyone. There are hundreds of bacteria live in our mouth, there are good and bad. The good one is called probiotics helps digest the food and convert into energy and to other nutrients. And there are also other bacteria protect our teeth and gums. The bad ones like streptococcus mutans feed on sugars and starches live behind the teeth could lead to tooth decay. Another bacteria is called Porphyromonas gingivalis which is lead to periodontitis, a progressive disease that affects the soft tissue and alveolar bone that supports the teeth causing toothache and tooth loss.

Which is why you are recommended to brush your teeth regularly to remove the plaque, because if plaque cannot be removed it will infiltrates your teeth and create wormholes. Plaque is the film that builds up on your teeth contains hundreds of bacteria in producing enamel acid. Plaque will be harder and thicker if not removed and will go below your gums which can cause inflammation and infection. And it can create a pathway to open a blood stream. If you wonder sometimes when your toothaches and you can feel blood coming out that could be the reason.

Also, to be more healthy eat healthy foods, brush your teeth twice a day and replace you toothbrush after 3-4 months use.
