If there is one street food in the Philippines that is really loved my many is the so-called Pork siomai. Siomai originated from the Chinese and it is then embraced by the Filipinos as time went by.
Although pork siomai really tastes good together with other condiments, a famous doctor from the Philippines, Dr. Willie Ong warned the people about the consumption of pork siomai.
According to him, the four pieces of these pork siomai is about 450 calories already.
He also warned about the pork fat on siomai making someone have a higher prone to hypertension.
That’s why, he advised to live a healthy life and find alternatives to pork like fish.
