What’s the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero?
Diet Coke and Coke Zero are among the most popular products of Coca-Cola Company in the whole world and here are some facts about them.
Coke is a popular beverage in different places around the globe. The beverage company has introduced different types of drinks that cater to the preferences of people. In some countries, specific flavors are being introduced which is not available in other countries.
Over the years, the classic flavor has dominated the market. However, there are some people who prefer the Zero or the Diet, especially those who are conscious about their sugar intake. These beverages have been part of the lives of many people, become companions in different happenings in their lives, and even become an object for sharing.
The Diet was introduced in the summer of 1982 while Zero came in 2005. These two products are still available until now. So, is there any difference between them? Based on the article in Reader’s Digest, these two products both have zero sugar and calories.
They also have the same list of ingredients: carbonated water, caramel color, phosphoric acid, potassium benzoate, aspartame, natural flavors, and caffeine.
However, there are two ingredients present in Zero that are not found in Diet and they are potassium citrate and acesulfame potassium. Diet Coke also has one ingredient that is not found in Zero, citric acid.
“Coca-Cola Zero Sugar looks and tastes more like Coca-Cola Classic, while Diet Coke has a lighter taste because it’s made with a different blend of flavors,” Anna Wheeler, health and nutrition manager for Coca-Cola Great Britain said. This is what the expect said but you will be the judge which is much better for you.
